The New Wave E P Carrillo Connecticut has been catching a lot of buzz - featuring a silky smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper covering a nice blend of Nicarguan and Dominican tobaccos. This careful blend creates a nice mild-medium smoke with just a hint of spice combined with nutty notes throughout.
EP Carrillo Short Run 2011
Only the second release of this great cigar by Ernesto Carrillo. Each short run cigar contains a nice balance of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos and is wrapped by a well aged Havana-seed Ecuadorian wrapper - different from the 2010 version which was wrapped in a Sumatra wrapper. Medium to full-bodied with hints of nutmeg and woody undertones.
Very limited release and even better than the 2010's

While the Perez-Carrillos cigars are made in the Dominican Republic, they are made in non-Dominican fashion, using two binder leaves and with triple caps on each cigar, a process that ensures a higher level of quality. E.P. The Core Line features a toothy Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binders and a filler blend consisting of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. From start to finish, this medium bodied smoke delivers rich flavors of roasted coffee and cedar with notes of white pepper and a long lasting oily finish. If you're looking to try a new cigar, the EP Carrillo Core Line should be on your to-do list to smoke.
