Cohiba cigars were first produced in the El Laguito factory
in Havana in 1968. Originally developed as a medium-bodied
protocol cigar for presentation only by Cuban government officials,
they were more widely introduced in 1982 and soon after became
one of the most sought-after brands in the Cuban cigar industry.
In the United States, there is only one type Cohiba
cigar that is available for purchase –
the Dominican.

Each of these fine Cohiba cigars was produced in the Dominican
Republic in the General Cigar Dominicana factory. All of these
cigars are wrapped in a dark rich leaf grown in the web-tropical
West African climate of Cameroon and filled with smooth-smoking
leaves, Piloto Cubano, grown in the Dominican Republic. The
flavorful Jember binder is grown in Indonesia. These cigars
